Funding A Club? That part is easy too!
Ask a person in your Community to Volunteer. Work with your Club Organizer to help the club with tasks like preparing order forms and shirts students have ordered. If your club is large you will have a lot to do. Like pictured left with shirts brought to this Club for the students. They can help get them ready by wrapping them in rubber bands with the order forms. Ask them to sort them by grade level so they will be quick and easy to hand out.

Order forms with the Permission Slips
Traditional ways of funding your club activities like charging Dues, asking people or local businesses to sponsor you or fundraising projects are always options but those options can seem overwhelming to new Club Start ups by young 5th grade students. The cost of operating a club is very low. The primary expense for the club is just printing permission slips, the cost of a few printable items from the lesson plan and the cost of novelty items for give away as Object Lessons. The students love getting these items and will show and tell about them to other students and their families. These gifts help them remember the lesson. These small incentive items can be ordered online from suppliers like Oriental Trading company or purchased at local Party Supply stores. You can even some leftover items from V.B.S. curriculum suppliers.
So since the cash expense is low, the cost can usually be covered by offering students a Kids For Christ Club T-Shirt. Students love the design. Sometimes Parents will also want to order shirts for themselves in support of the Club.
The T-Shirts can be ordered from Local Printers. Most T-Shirt printers lower the cost per shirt when you order in Quantity. Call the local company and ask their printing price range for White Ink on 2 sides Front & Back Red shirt, mostly youth sizes. Sometimes you can have the shirts printed for half the price you will offer them for. It depends on the size of your club and how many students order them.
For Example if students order 60 shirts for $13 per shirt the cost is $8; then you will have $5 from each shirt or $300 left after paying for the shirts to use for purchasing the give away items. This simple way makes your club self-funding so membership can free.

The Parental Permission slips have an order form attached so students may choose to order a Club T-Shirt and/or Youth Bible at the start up of the club. We always keep the Bibles at cost so they are affordable. We select a whole (Old and New Testaments) Children's Version Bible that is available through International Bible Society for a very affordable price.
The School may want to handle the receipting of funds as the students return the forms. Your volunteer School Sponsor can help the school with this. This person can bring the monies to the bookkeeper. Once the orders are processed you can ask an adult to help you get the T-Shirt orders ready. The school Sponsor can not request or sign the Purchase order. But you can ask your Adult Volunteer Organizer from the community to do this. When you know how many of each size and which company you will order them from, a purchase order can be written by the Organizer. They will probably get this from the School Bookkeeper then your Organizer will place the order with the T-Shirt Company your club selects. Some smaller rural schools may not have a bookkeeping department. Some schools do not want to oversee the collections. Then you could ask a trusted person to take care of this part for you.
